Policy: To allow Resident’s access to visitors.
Policy Explanation and Guidelines:
1. Residents will be allowed visitation with any person of their choice between the hours of 9am – 9pm. There are no limitations to the number of visitors a resident will be allowed to have if it doesn’t interfere with the safety, privacy, or comfort of other Residents.
2. Visitors will be asked to sign in and out of the Visitation Book.
3. Visitors will not be asked about their vaccination status or expected to provide proof of vaccination when visiting Aliviya Rose Manor.
4. A Resident may designate a visitor who is a family member, friend, guardian, or other individual as an Essential Caregiver. This designated Essential Caregiver will be allowed visitation of at least 2 hours daily in addition to any other visitation allowed by Aliviya Rose Manor.
5. Residents will be allowed in-person visitation for any of following circumstances…..
• End of life
• A Resident who was living with family before being admitted to the provider’s care and is struggling with the change in environment and lack of in-person family support.
• The Resident is making one or more major medical decisions.
• A Resident is experiencing emotional distress or grieving the loss of a friend or family member who recently died.
• A Resident needs cueing or encouragement to eat or drink which was previously provided by a family member or caregiver.
• A Resident who used to talk or interact with others is seldom speaking.
6. Upon consent of the Resident, visitation from recognized volunteer groups, representatives of community-based programs, and members of the clergy will be allowed during normal visiting hours.
7. Visitation will be discouraged for visitors who have been diagnosed with or are exhibiting symptoms of any infectious disease.
• Visitors with a confirmed infectious disease such as Covid-19 should delay visitation until they have met the healthcare criteria to end isolation. In the instance visitation cannot be delayed, visitors may be asked to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) upon entering Aliviya Rose Manor.
• For visitors with close contact with someone with confirmed diagnosis of Covid-19, it is in the best interest to delay visitation for 10 days after contact.
• Residents should be encouraged to limit in-person visitation while they are infectious.
• Educate Residents and their visitors about the health risks of in-person visitation currently.
• Encourage the use of alternative communication for the Resident and the visitor.
• Aliviya Rose Manor will provide education to the Resident and visitors on CDC recommended guidelines for appropriate infection control.
8. Aliviya Rose Manor requires all visitors to notify Management of any infectious disease symptoms occurring within 14 days after visiting Aliviya Rose Manor. This is to ensure our Resident’s take the appropriate actions to secure their health and safety.
9. Aliviya Rose Manor reserves the right to terminate in-person visitations to any visitor who refuses to abide by Aliviya Rose Manor’s Visitation Policies and Procedures.

This policy is particularly beneficial for residents who may be struggling with the transition to a care facility, as it facilitates a smoother adjustment period.
To protect the health of residents and staff, Aliviya Rose Manor has implemented specific health and safety protocols for visitors. These measures are especially crucial during times of heightened health risks, such as outbreaks of infectious diseases.
Visitors who have confirmed infectious diseases, such as Covid-19, are required to delay their visitation until they meet the healthcare criteria for ending isolation. Additionally, visitors may be asked to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimize the risk of transmission when entering the facility.
Aliviya Rose Manor emphasizes the importance of educating both residents and their visitors about the potential health risks associated with in-person visitation. This proactive approach helps ensure that everyone is informed and prepared to minimize risks while visiting.
